Welcome to the blog

Most marketing blogs are written for SEO, not for readers. We're going to try to do the opposite here: short, useful posts about what we actually learn building websites and internal applications for small and medium businesses.

What you'll find here

• Case studies — real projects, what worked, what didn't, and what we learned.
• Tactical posts — how to think about specific decisions: when to build vs. buy, when a landing page is better than a full site, how to set up your domain, etc.
• The boring but important stuff — security, performance, accessibility. The things that matter even though they don't make for flashy posts.

Who we build for

Our focus is small and medium businesses. The kind of company that's past the “use Squarespace” phase but doesn't have a full-time engineering team. If that's you, the things we write here will probably be useful.
